What's up guys,
this is our first post, it's May 12th 2018 and we chose to start with the brand new Huawei P20 Pro
since we have noticed that many people has been talking about it lately, so the question is..
IS IT AS GOOD AS THEY SAY?
The P20 Pro camera made by the legendary LEICA sets it a part from the rest, which is the first thing that would attract your intention. 40MP is for marketing, but the results at night and when zooming in are very real, while the 3x zoom setting also happens to work great for portraits.
On the outside, aesthetically I do like this phone a lot..It does have a couple of flaws it's not perfect but it's one of the few really unique looking phones out there mainly because of it's crazy awesome looking back, in this situation I'm talking about the aqua green to blue to purple in different amounts depending on where you are looking at it from. There is other colors , but I wouldn't even consider them compared to this one.
Moving to the front of the phone.. The finger print reader is there, it's still super fast, I don't mind it being there.. Huawei does that maybe better than anyone and it also acts like a gesture pad if u wanna disable the on screen buttons.
Above all that is that pretty nice 6.1 inch OLED display, 2240/1080P . It gets bright enough to see outdoors, no shift issues but not quite to the greatest level of the Samsung phone, not quite as bright or as vibrant. The P20 Pro packs in a 4000mAh battery so it's pretty great considering that the phone is not that thick.
So for the hardware we are looking at a 6GB RAM/ 128GB of storage without any memory card slot. The Phone offers lots of features like backup and restore features, big screen features, multitasking features, multiple power save mode, You can adjust the screen resolution.
Now let's get to what grabbed my attention the most. It's not one, not two..but three cameras on the back. The main sensor is a 40MP sensor with optical stabilisation and an F1.8 aperture which is huge, lots of potential adventages to larger sensors, you get better Low light sensitivity, bigger pixels, better overall performance, less gain, wider field of view..I love the concept of putting a big sensor in a phone camera, not only big , but actually good sensor that gives you accurate colors, nice dinamic range, details, lots of details. But keep in mind, it's a 40MP sensor but in the end u get an output imagine of 10MP photo, super sharp and detailed 10MP photos. Sadly the 4K video in the phone really looks bad, I wish it was as complete video camera as it was a photo camera but it's not. The secondary is a 20MP monochrome sensor also with optical imagine stabilisation and an F1.6 aperture. Third camera is an 8MP 3X telephoto lens again stabilised, this time it's F2.4 . To get a better idea I suggest you take a look at some YouTube Camera test videos .
So to answer our question, it's a big YES.. The HUAWEI P20 PRO is as good as they say, maybe even better, I personally think it's the best Huawei phone out there which makes me wonder, what's next?? I'm gonna leave you with more details about specifications, make sure you let us know what you think, and see you next time..
